i have an 1985 Jetta 1.6Td. the injection pump is now leaking. i am getting about an eye dropper drop about every 6 seconds when ideling. rev it up an it will drop about every 2 seconds. it is coing from the block looking thing where the hard lines go  in to the side of the pump. it is starting to suck air and run real bad now so i figure that i have to do somthing about it, but what should i do? please help!

either buy a seal kit and DIY or send it out to get rebuilt. i think you can get them rebuilt for about 600 CAD and a performance one for $1000. Or buy another one a just do a swap

just found an na pump for 200 newly rebuilt could i put that on the car and then take the lda off of my td pump and put it on the na pamp to make it a td pump or os there more to it then that?

If you do a search there is piles of info regarding that. $200 for a rebuilt pump is a good price. You could run the NA pump as is. If you want to test out what that would be like before buying it just remove the hose that goes between the pump and the intake manifold. It will be a bit better with the new pump of course. This is how I drive my car
