i pulled the 1.6TD from my jetta and noticed the turbo, k14, is leaking oil. The motor is going into an A3 golf with 2.5" dia exhaust, the rest is stock.
Hope to save up for a Giles superpump in the next few months
I've got a k03 with about 100k miles on it. Should I put that in it or rebuild the leaking k14?
depends on your preference... those who have the k03 report that it spools GREAT down low, and can hold 10-15 psi way up top... but EGT's are quite high at the 15 psi range.
they are also quite restrictive on the highway... but again, its all up to your personal preference. K14 is a good compromise between a K03 and K24, and can produce 18-20 psi.
If you plan to get rid of the k14, I might be interested in a spare..

If you want to get rid of the K03, I'm looking for a good, rebuildable core!
sorry, not selling anything, with my luck I'll blow up the k14 after selling the other one.
Found a rebuild kit from gpopshop.com
they've got k03 rebuild kits on the site $89 + $37 for the gasket kit
k14 isn't on their website, I emailed them and they said $98 for the k14 kit
seems like a lot, but its only the first price i've found.
anybody got a cheaper source?
