Prevents and defreezes frozen fuel lines.  Eliminates moisture in fuel tanks to prevent internal tank corrosion.  Assist in removing varnish, gum and sludge frokm entire fuel system.  Assists injector nozzle cleanliness, starting and reduces smoking,  Suitable for all types of diesel engines,  DIRECTIONS: add 100ml to every 227 litres of diesel.

Contains isopropyl alcohol, petroleum distillate.

So.  Is this stuff suitable for my 97 IDI 1.9?  I thought I read somewhere that alcohol based conditioners are bad for the injector pumps.

BTW, its kleen-flo diesel fuel conditioner.

thoughts?

hey,
im not a genius about this stuff but its diluted 2270:1 and its not pure alchohol so i would think there isn't enough of it in the stuff to do any real harm, if you use it as directed.
just my $.02

I've used this stuff in addition to the other several fuel conditioners I use. Honestly, It doesn't do a whole lot on it's own. I've found that their Low Sulfer Diesel conditioner (black and orange can) increased my mileage 1-2 mpg when used all on its own. I think the Diesel Fuel Conditioner is a waste of money. I've found that Acklands Grainger has the best prices for either fuel conditioner. $21 for the regular and $30 for the low sulfer, both are 4 liter cans.

I just picked up some Low Sulphur stuff for under 6CDN per litre.  It's the orange can variety and I got it at the Northern Truck place on Regent beside Maslack in Sudbury.  They are open until midnight on weekdays if you ever have a problem...  It mixes 500:1 so if you get 1-2 MPG from it you'll be saving money.

i usually go to the flying J  (american owned and has a location near belleville) and they sell this cetane booster / anti gel additive.  Gives a bit more power and mpg and lubricates the pump. (one bottle has lasted me for about 10 fills and counting...)

cost is around 20-25 bucks.  I forget the name of it and I'm too tired to go find out.  If anyone else knows which product I'm talking about that would be great!

I cant be certain if this stuff works as good as it claims, but with pump lubrication and anti-gel, I think its worth it (about two-three cap fulls per fill)
