what is the safe maximum boost for my kkk k14 turbo, I got some info using the search but didn't feel I got a really difinative answer.
Also how does this turbo match up against some of the others like k03, k24 and gt15? what sort of characteristics does it have - quick spool up, but low maximum boost?
any info would be much appreiciated
cheers

Yes, it's a small, quick spooling turbo, very good for bottom end power. You won't gain as much from raising the rev limiter as those with K24 and Garrett turbos.
Max boost should be fairly high but only at low engine rpm, it may taper off and start adding a lot of intake heat at high rpm.
Do you have an intercooler? If not I'd recommend adding one first.

If I have a SB engine in my Golf mk2, what is a maximum boost for this engine and what more can i do for more power. SB have 80HP and 155 Nm by 2600-3000.

that depends on a lot more than the boostpressure.. search the forums, there are a lot of topic about tuning and the results

I have next question. My turbo is Garett and there is no screw on waste-gate, how can I change pressure?

I just disconnected the line from the compressorhouse to the wastegate and my turbopressure is about 1,1-1,2bar.
DO NOT disconnect the line without a proper pressure gauge because there is no safety to blow your turbo anymore.

I tried my 1.9td without boost control - and it hits 15 psi so quick it scares me, and I am out of the gopedal as quick as I can, by which time it's at 20psi and ready to do more. That's ... 1.3bar? I put the controller back on, and used the "induced leak" method to set it about 12 psi - where it smokes a bit, stays below 1100 after-turbo, and seems to get along pretty well

- soooooooooooo much more power than the 1.3 gasser my rig comes with. When I get it on the road again with the new intercooler, I may try 15 or so.

Project changes a bit, my Garrett T2 was already leaking a bit of oil on the intake side but this morning I blew it completely.. I was accelerating onto the highway running ~1bar pressure, the hose on the turbo blew and the seal failed even more as you can see on the picture:

My eginebay used to be white :?
Gonna replace the GarrettT2 with a KKK K24 with a 70mm downpipe, hope it will last longer
