Where are you located?   How did the pump affect your fuel mileage?  Does it feel like a ~20HP increase?

im in seattle, washington. my mileage didnt change at all, no matter how i drove. worst i ever got was 37mpg on a tank, averaged 40mpg. it really woke up the motor. the motor would keep pulling where the stock pump fell on its face. i killed another NA diesel when i raced him. though i wouldnt call it much of a race since  :lol:

Is this off your 84 jetta? Dr Diesel, anyone......will this fit on a jan/feb 1989 1.6L jetta?

yea its off my jetta, im not sure if it will work on the mk2s, someone else was also asking me about that...

It'll work on a mk2 as far as I know. It just won't have the fancy idle increaser that the later mk2s had when the cold start lever was pulled out. Not a big deal though.
