Hello I am looking for the most popular parts source for a 1.6TD rebuild i'm about to tackle. Looking for gasket set, timing belt, metal head gasket, etc...

where are you from? If your in Canada near a major city look up Altrom, they are the best and cheapest source for VW parts. Lots of people sell them on here too, Smog sells pump rebuild kits and nozzles and other stuff I think and 935Racer (Dave) (Passenger Performance) also sells lots of parts.

Sure thing, let me know if there's anything you can't get.. If enough folks were interested, I'd be glad to do a Canadian group buy and drive the ***e up across the border to my bro. in laws place and ship off from there...

Python Parts among the best prices and speedy delivery.
They deliver all over Canada, but their major warehouse
is in Vancouver, so....probably fairly close to you (out West).
