drive axles splines on newer axles
« on: December 30, 2006, 01:00:18 pm »
So I had some axles modified for an Audi TT transmission and now I am using a beetle trans, well the CV joints are different and I was wondering if anyone new if the inner axle splines were the same on the TT axles and the Beetle axles. I assume that they are but I dont want to buy some and then have them not work

thanks for the help.

You really need to check,  the sline count on them,  just order them from a auto shop, and come in with your Beetle CV shaft and compare the Audi TT shaft bring your caliper. Thats the only way I would suggest trying to compare them,  but they will prob be different based on the High end Audi TT, having almost nothing in relation to the Beetle..... IE ( Quattro)
83 Jetta 1.9 T (Project Darkness)
88 Jetta 1.6 NA (Dead/Crushed)
92 Jetta 1.6 T (Sleepin)
96 Golf 1.9 T (Parts Car + Mexican Rust Bucket)
