Hey guys, i finally had my 92 jetta diesel running good, and i was going to head to PA with it Sunday from NH and i just had an injector line break today. It has a small crack right at the nut that bolts to the injector pump. Is there anyway to weld this, soder it or something? Because i checked several places with no luck of them having the line. IS there any way to make that particular flare on the line? Because it looks rather unusual. I really need a fix to get me to PA because i need to get there... Anyone with ideas chime in. Or if anyone has one in NH ME or VT lol i may go get it from you...
THanks
TJ
You could take it off and have somebody TIG weld it, just for an emergency repair. Make sure that you blow out the line before you put it back on. It should hold for a while untill you find a good one.
Make sure that the brackets that hold the lines from vibrating are on.
i'll have to try and gettign it tig'ed then, and i think i need that bracket because i'm lacking one. Anyone have a picture of that bracket so i know what it looks like.
You can see the 2 brackets right beside my yellow dipstick

Make sure all the pump bolts are installed/tightened
I've welded them before, low heat + way low wire speed. Extreme care, or you will burn right through it. BTW, why not just ask someone on here to sell you one.. I know I have a ton laying around.. I can't be the only one..
