I was drivin' along a couple weeks ago and I was goin' 55-60mph and this truck started to pass and then just didn't keep passing but was tryin' to. I slowed down a bit to let it by, it was dark so I didn't know what kind of rig it was 'till it was beside me and then I saw it was a friend of mine, so I stuck it down into 4th and floored it and pulled ahead just to prove I could and then I let him pass. We stopped and he said he had it floored!

First time I raced and won! He did have a load of wood on the bed. I was proud of my bunny

Yeah, no turbo, I have the fuel screw in all the way though. The dodge is way under power, the owner has a new high performance IP for it that will give it like 260HP and 800ft-lb which is way more than stock. It's not on yet though.

Nice, what year is that Dodge, seems underpowered maybe it's a 12V........
But yea the dodge cummins 24V turbo are amazing trucks, lol I love pulling into a truck stop with a 3500 Dodge Dully Work truck, and get out to get some fuel conditioner and then rip it out of there with open exhaust......... People literally move there cars completly out of the way for the beast
I was at the stop 50 truck stop, and when I came out I was surrounded by a guy in a Honda and some blonde chick in a Mazda Protege...... Well the Honda guy didn't decide to move, so instead of using my horn, a nice Tute from the Motor and the Turbo was singing a happy note....... (A much nicer horn IMO)
That truck is what hooked me onto Diesels, I drove the most powerful diesel that I had ever driven fro my first diesel, I am going to buy that truck when I get some good cash, it is totally worth it

Cummins, the most efficient engine.... at converting diesel fuel into noise!!!
if that dude installs the high performance IP make sure he installs a lift pump... its pretty much necessary

I'm currently looking for one, but they are sooooo expensive!!!

cummins aren't that hard to beat. my dad killed an older 12v that had a seriously turned up ip, with his new, stock duramax at a stop light. then the kid tried again. and lost again. don't underestimate tow-haul mode  the "poor" man's chip

Yeah, its a twelve valve. It already has a lift pump cause the inline IP doesn't have one built in.

i wish someone in a cummins would race my jetta, everytime i get a chance they seem to think i'm not serious or something. that or they're scared cause my little engine puts out more smoke than theirs. haha. flipping the boost pin around really makes the thing smoke nice haha, i should mess with my smoke screw when i do it, but oh well

ya i highly doubt this happened and if it did he wasn't racing you.
i drive both a 89 n/a diesel golf and a 2002 24valve cummins. no way you were able to pull on him.

Um....He was racing and I did beat him. His is the 12 valve w/ 260,000mi and it's gutless, he also had a load of firewood on it which, if you know anything about cummins, you know a load doesn't effect 'em much. Also the guy is a friend of mine and after we raced we stopped and talked and he said he had it floored. I was shocked 'cause my rabbit's gutlesser.
I also went with the guy from Alaska to Washington and back in his dodge and believe me, it was gutless. He has since put his modded IP on and I raced him again, but I don't wanna talk about it.

hehe some people must get offended when cummins' rep is being disputed. looks like it was just a worn IP that made it gutless.
i can think of a few vw diesels that could whip a cummins though. all custom of course

its all good diesel power, can't we just get a long? They could have had a gas V-8 dodge instead of a cummins and that would have sucked, im sure the said v-dub is fast for what it is....
