Happy Holidays Everyone!
« on: December 24, 2006, 08:01:37 am »
Hi everyone, Merry Christmas (or 'Happy Day' to those who take offence).

We find ourselves at that time of year again... holidays, rest and relaxation and quality family time. But who has time for all that there are cars to work on!

What projects are you all plugging away at over the holidays? Any new parts for Christmas?

Like every year I planned not to do much involving motor vehicles this holiday season, but that never seems to happen now does it??!

For you locals, here is a holiday hookup (South-Western Ontario)....

Parts:
Perjad at Precision - 416.514.0284

Diesel Service:
Chris at Proformance - 905.459.9282

Dealer parts:
Bud at Crosby - 519.894.9313

All three come with a diesel smoke stamp of approval.

Anyone know a good aircooled mechanic?

I notice your in Kitchener, have you ever used KW fuel injection?  I had my 1.9TD pump resealed and recalibrated and they threw some new bearings in there too for 350 bucks.  I was really impressed with the quality of work and the price too.  They also cleaned, calibrated and fitted some new nozzles to some 1.9TD injectors for 25 bucks an injector.  Of course I will be getting a Giles pump when Im done school in April :D.  Overall extremely impressed with their knowledge and service.

Merry Christmas everyone

I got these two cool magazines, dating late 1981 and early 1982. My brother got two similar ones. My mom found them at the library for $0.10 each :D

I gave my brother a turbo from an AAZ for his diesel Chevette, that should be a fun project. I think it has a BOSCH VE pump on it.

Nice, Any Chance I could get a scan of the GM 350 Diesel Article?

That'd be interesting.

They are actually pretty good to read. No super in depth stuff but nice basic info with some advanced stuff thrown in here and there.
I'll scan all 4 of the magazines that my brother and I got and will post them up, I'll start a new thread though. Each one is only 25 pages long but there are minimal advertisements. The cool thing is is that they were published in Guelph or Kitchener I think.
