Now your just making things up!
TBH I rarely see the KY motor (1.7D n/a) they don't have squirters either.
They weren't very popular, they replaced the 1.6D n/a (CS) but there are more 1.6's around than 1.7's.
Most people did the right thing and bought a JX (1.6TD)
I think that in the 18 months or so I have been running the garage specialising in the T3 I have had 2 on the ramp!

how about for us van guys a 5cyl bellhousing (with clutch slave bracket and throwout cross shaft)

5spd vanagon transmissions.

headlight washers,

I'd like a RHD beetle/thype3 automatic pedal assembly.
(for a RHD auto thing project i'm dreaming up)

probably need a RHD beetle steeringbox too..  unless the regular are either/or.

Yea me... :D

How about some I believe they are PD130 or PD150 Intake manifolds like the one that Malone had on his frankenmotor.

5 speed transmissions aren't that thin on the ground, but good ones are and to be honest they ain't that great, the 2.0l air cooled box is a good stong one and what people use for engine swaps as they are regarded as the stongest of the manual boxes.
Oettinger when they did their WBX6 conversions used auto boxes as they are stronger still. The 5 speed box is really nothing special and prone to problems, they get whiney and 3rd gear synchro hubs have a nasty habit of falling in pieces generally locking the box into 3rd.

Head light washers, these come from Sweden generally as they are fitted as standard, headlight washers for round headlights are quite rare but still availabe from VW and can be retro fitted to a normal grille.
The rectangular headlamps with washers have metal brackets formed into the rear of the grille to support their weight. The washer tank is bigger and needs a 4 bar pump and relay 33 to operate them.
Everyone here wants rectangular headlamps for their vans as generally camper vans in this country are converted for really low spec panel vans with windows cut into them, they don't have intermittant wipers as a rule so easy bolt on bling goes for big bucks.
If your grille has metal brackets then I could try to source the rest of the bits you need if interested, I have a contact in Sweden who I buy the odd bit from and do stickers for (Tristar, syncro, steyr Puch etc...)

Badges, right, I do have the design for the 1.9TD as fitted from the Passat and I do have the little square "DIESEL" and "turbo DIESEL" as fitted to mid 80's stuff and can reproduce them in vinyl if needed.
5  cylinder bellhousings come from South Africa, I have a friend who has a 2.5 TDI (5 cyinder) in the back of his T3 crew cab, well, he did have, he's just taken it out and is fitting it here..

1Y inlet manifolds (D ports and long runner) I have just sent 3 to the States and another one down south, I am on the look out for more.

Which exhaust manifolds do you want? the AAZ ones? I just throw those away!

I will look to see if the steering wheel centres are still availabe from VW, anyone got a picture or know what they were fitted to, to help the search?

Glow plug relays? are you sure? whats different to ours? I stock them on the shelf, really not that expensive.

I also stock "Relay 99" that you swap for "relay 19". basically if you have relay 19 that operates your intermittant wiper interval then relay 99 lets you vary the interval time, again, not sure on what was fitted at your end but it is a neat plug in upgrade for anything with a 19 in.

What I may do is send a batch to someone in US/Can, then they can distribute them over there, would save on postage etc, me sending individual ones... cost a bomb.
I was thinking of adapting the GTD badge for the forum, as a bit of a forum sticker for your car, like.

"Mr Brick-Yard" Glow plug relays? are you sure?

Maybe, not just the relay itself but the used complete harness pulled from a vehicle, since many of us in the US have gas cars to convert or, not.. could just be me as I have an 89 gas 8 valve Jetta Carat to work with.

1Y Intake would be nice, assuming it would fit in an MkII Car. If not then an AAZ it would have to be. THOW AWAY!!! AAZ Exhaust Manifolds??? I suppose reusing the TDI is what most do but, AAZ exhast manis would be nice to have around, maybe if you wind up selling me a 1Y or a GTD Intercooler Setup, perhaps one or two can take a ride with it. OH and I forgot.. the all important down pipes on my original list.

Mr BY

Do you have any of the proper turbo diesel grille badges in stock?

Do VW here in the UK still sell them?

I have been scouring ebay for what seems like months trying to find one.

Cheers Bri
