The american ones have a plastic insert recess for the numberplate and lock to fit into - wondered if anyone had one kicking about?

no specific colour - just whatever you can get your hands on - you can't get them in the UK!

You'd have a hell of a time making that recess fit. The hatch is very different. I've worked on them side-by-side. BTW, the plate recess can be had for about $28 new.
