Most likely not able to part this car out this year. I'll be back at it in the spring, unless next weekend is really niceComplete and running... well it was. It's been sitting for 1-2 years with no oil pan. It has 600k kms, bad rings and a rebuilt head and possibly pump. I'm not sure if the pump leaks or not. It's a 91 I think so it has a hydro head. Make an offer on anything. It's all for sale.

Sorry may be a stupid question but what is an MK2? I am looking for a 1.9 turbo engine.

A mk2 is a golf or jetta from 1985 to 1992
They did not have a 1.9. I do have one that I'm parting out though, but the crank pulley failed

What do you want for the 1.9? Was it a turbo? I will buy just the block and head if that is all you have left of it.

i hate you canadians and your easy to find turbo diesels... the only vw diesels i see alot of are mk4 tdis.. especially at the dealer they must sell like hot cakes lol. occassionally i see a mk3 tdi, and pretty much i never see mk1 or mk2 tds, maybe an ecodiesel if i'm lucky

only one I found near me was an 86 TD jetta..with no rust..and 2 disassembled engines.

yeah i bought a parts car for 400 few months back... 2 hour trip but well worth it... it came with heated seats
what im probably going to do is rebuild the block/head out of that one, and sell my motor as complete.. possibly... as long as i dont break/lose too much from the parts car hehehe.
the guys turbo oil feed line rusted out.. and he didnt notice it right away (probably didn't check his oil often enough...) so i'm hoping there isn't too much damage to the motor... the turbo has to be shot though, if not, i will probably make a shrine for it and keep it for myself
so anyways.. he changes the line... and continues to drive the car. eventually it just gets worse and worse until it starts to crank over really slow, and not even chug. one other thing i'd like to mention, is that he did swap the pump with a good used one

It's pretty beat up. If you come pick it up before the scrap yard does you can have it for FREE. There's ownership to
700 000 kms, roughly. Just imagine. I'm not sure if this is the one he welded back together with angle iron. It split in two
4 door, green, manual. There might not be rear struts on it, actually there probably won't be
