195/65/15 is the right tire size for the MK IV's if the rims are 5x100 it might be a cheap solution for someone this winter.

Those should fit a 97 GMC safari right?
S2S: They're GM rims so I don't think they're 5x100 but I'll check. I have a MkIII so didn't realize MkIV used that tire size, thanks
Edit: Look to be at least 110mm, so the rims won't fit. May put them on TDI Club anyway though if I don't get rid of them within a few days.
BYM: They're front wheel drive rims, won't work on a RWD. Unless the Safari is AWD, then I can't remember what rims they used...?
Edit: Safari OEM is 205 or 215/75R15, right? So these would be a bit short, not ideally what you want for winter.
yep AWD, whats the differance between FWD and RWD?
They're like the S10 pickups, the 4wd/awd use a vastly different offset because of the front CV drive system than the 2wd style. I don't know if it's the same as the front wheel drive cars, or an entirely different creature.
If I can get ahold of QuickTD I'll ask him, he knows everything
