yesterday me and my friend started to work on swapping the motor out of his girl friends cabriolet since it's blown, has oil all in the intake and it smokes white like a vulcanoe or something and has 0 power, my automatic diesel rabbit would win in a race (we should have raced them before we dug into the cabby, oh well anyways, the thing is pretty horrid to do the swap on, i mean it isn't too bad, but man i sure wish it was a diesel... it's that bad haha. i'd have that motor out already if it were a diesel... that's for sure. plus it's kinda a pain in the dick since we're working outside under a tree in the grass haha

is it EFI? or mechanical FI? i love the old mech FI... those things were a breeze to work on... its kinda like a diesel. just a few sensors here and there...

haha nah we're switching a jh for a jh. theres way more *** than in a diesel, it's got cis, so old mechanical injection. but not like the one 77 rabbit i saw before, that things cis looked like a pleasure to work on, this cabby is a tragedy imo. i should have slapped the old jh head on to an aba block, but eff that ish.

well, I pulled one of those from my GTI before putting a diesel in it. Replaced about 40 wires with 4 :lol: I like the gas engines from the early 70's or 60's -- they're pretty simple, but after that, they got crazy.
