Time to install the Viton!
« on: November 04, 2006, 01:42:35 pm »
The other day I got my package of pre-cut Viton fuel lines from greaseworks.org. It comes with all the Viton needed to replace the lines plus good ABA band style hose clamps. I've been running B99 in the car since I bought it a few months ago, and it's now time to upgrade the hoses before they pop.

I'll be replacing everything in the engine compartment today, but need to wait until next weekend for the hoses at the tank. There's more than half a tank of fuel in there right now, and I don't want to drain it today. should be gone by next weekend as this is my daily driver.

Stoked about good fuel lines!

I've been looking to do the same on my caddy as well.  What kind of car do you have?  Can you post the ID's of some of the hoses?

The one I need to replace is the return line from the pump to the hard line.   1/4" line fits the barb fitting on the pump, but doesn't seem to want to squeeze over the metal hard line...

Does the kit include the hoses back at the tank?

Well, took some time to get back to you, and sadly I don't have the ID's of the hoses for you right now. The kit came with all the hoses, including at the tank. THe tank was a strange one for my car, as the steel supply line is a smaller OD than the supply nipple at the tank, so the hose came with a reducer installed already.

The guys at greaseworks.org could probably send you the specs for your car if you want to do it yourself. I've got a 1980 Dasher, and it wasn't listed on their site, but they had the measurements for it.
