• The block and crank does not need to be in good shape.  Looking to make an adapter to fit into a Toyota truck.  I just need the crank and block and flywheel.  
  Cheap or free is good.  Will pick up.  I am in Barrie Ontario.

• A gas 1.8l 8 vavle block is indentical, they are very plentiful and dirt cheap if not free

• Ya I figured the gas engines would be the same. Are the engine mounting points the same? I would take one of them then if anyone has one.

• yeah exactly the same. this is as far as any 8v engine 1975-1992
  Is the Toyota the same as a Mazda? If so I'll trade you an adaptor for an engine

  It would be if you put a Toyota (i.e. Better) transmission in it.
