Tdi-rs reported good gains with the 8v GTI cam, however he had to modify both the cam to fit the sproket and had to fly cut the pistons for clearance. It's easier to just get one from PP.

Hey 935 - what are the gains with your cams again?  Specifically HP, faster spoolup, and lower EGTs in what amounts?

Thanks.

It all depends on fuel, you could see egts only drop 50 degrees or you could see them drop 200 degrees if you are over fueled, the cam could give you 3WHP or 20-30WHP.

would a hydro 1.6td cam be any different than the cam in my ahu tdi??
i thought the tdi engines had very low lift compared to the earlier idi engines :?:

No a gas vw 16 valve head will not fit, even with intense machine work.
