i spent way too much money buying everything (except injectors and turbo) new for this junker. i plan on running it at factory settings for a month or so to get all the kinks worked out. then i need to read up on how to pump things up a little bit.

that heap is going in this heap:

can't wait to get it running.

May I ask you what kind of engine it is?

That's a big ass turbo, that's for sure! :D

it's a 1.6L Turbo Diesel. this is a diesel forum, right? it's a hydraulic lifter head, flowed, with a 3 angle valve job, and maybe .003 shaved off the head (just to make it perfect... i know, i know, you can't deck a diesel), on a stock "refreshed" block. i have a couple different intercoolers also. i just haven't decided which one is gonna work best.

yeah it looks that way with the wheels. they're not bolted on inside out, they're 8 inches wide. 13x8 widened factory steelies. i need to clean them up. they look like crap. it'll all happen soon enough.

craptastic, it could have been a MB diesel engine for all I know.

An engine looks quite different when out of a bay than in.

How much boost this baby gonna push?  :?:

hey, i'm in the same boat as you with this diesel stuff. this is my first experience and i kinda jumped in head first. i reckon it'll be pushing stock boost for a while to get it broken in. we'll see what happens after that. it's gonna be my commuter car (50+miles each way) so i'll probably keep it pretty sane.
