• Hi, I would like to know the advisable period/milage to exchange the timing belt on a Golf II, JR engine.

• I just changed mine (had 160,000 kms on it :oops: ) and discovered that they're supposed to be changed at 80,000 kms. I was just lucky I guess. Mine had "canvass" showing everywhere.

• 50-60k miles is the reccomended change interval, or between 80-95k kilometers.
