one with the pump timing tool
or what are the specifications for the
tool to fit into the tool.

Probably won't fit.  Most pump timing tools require a "true" metric indictor.  The mount that inserts into the adapter has to be 8mm and the contact point thread needs to be metric as well.

All the indictors at my local Harbor Freight were .375 mount not 8mm.

my indicator didnt fit so I just made a custom sleeve and made it fit, works well if you have access to a lathe

I got my indicator from England ..very small head like the snap-on's for easy manuvering and a perfect fit for the sir tool adapter...it was around $16.00us..unfortunately I can not remember the web site..sorry
