When I heard the economy of Smokey Dubs Car at 350 or so km per 1/4 all racing, and felt it's power I was sold. This is going to be an upgrade for the future.
I think if he drove it normally it could have eaisly went past 400 - 500 km per 1/4 tank
Holy COW MENG............
yea but the fuel gauge on these cars are far from accurate. Mine will stay at full for about 80 km's, then start to drop drastically until about the 1st bar from full. It will stay there for another 200-300 km, then start to go down fast to half tank... and after another 150km it starts going to the last 1/4 of a tank and it will stay there for another 150 km's or so. (i've never really used all 50 litres of my tank though... don't really want to either  )
still though... thats awesome mileage for the way that car is driven

apparently i'm like number 9 on giles list of performance pump upgrades. Its definitely gonna be tough to wait that long, especially hearing all these things from you guys. Along with the GTD nozzles i have sitting on my dresser and the pump i'm expecting a real wake up for my 1.9TD. Giles sounds hella stressed out though. Poor guy
Believe it. I've been waiting a month now, though in fairness he let me know as soon as he received the pump.
Just my luck that my pump arrived the same day as 5 others.....

I'm still saving my money for a pump rebuild from Giles. I'm sure it's worth it. Heck, a rebuilt pump would cost around $600. Who in their right mind wouldn't want a super injection pump

i have a couple questions. i'm still searching as well, but someone can feel free to drop me a PM and help me out
i have a 92 1.6td
so what i have understood so far is that the giles modded pump will actually improve fuel milage while also significantly improving power? is this correct?
does it smoke a lot more? i've already been pulled over by the ministry of environment for too much smoke.. which i will be fighting cuz it was bull***.
someone with a giles pump and a 1.6td please pm me.

I havent really done any mods to my car other than the pump and a new engine but with stock boost and no intercooler it's fast as hell
I have a set of GTD nozzels and a saab turbo intercooler that are getting installed in the spring.
as for fuel milage i drove about 1300 km on my first tank which was a combination of 50/50 highway and city driving when I filled it up it took about 13 gallons, it worked out to around 62mpg which is awsome.
Not to mention the engine wasn't even truly broken in yet and I was running jet fuel (Kerosene) which has less power available per ounce than diesel fuel.
