Leaky IP - Pressure Valves(Outlet ports)
« on: September 07, 2006, 08:52:34 pm »
My turbo injection pump is leaking diesel. Its not a major leak, slowly leaking out. I think its also causing air in the fuel lines.

Anyway the leak appears to be coming out of one of the outlet ports (maybe called pressure valves) on the back of the IP. The outlet ports are where the steel injection lines connect to the IP, just it case I'm not calling them the correct name.

I can see on one of the assembly topics that there's a sealing washer on each of the 4 outlets. So I'm guessing that washer failed and needs to be replaces. Can I just unscrew it from the IP while mounted on the engine and replaced the washer?

Thanks, Dave
