hey guys sorry for all the stupid questions but i have to find these things out somehow.
A famly friend called me up the other night and told me she is going to be selling her rabbit pick up. now the problem is I alwready have a car and a motorcycle. so if i want the truck the bike is going to have to go so to make a long story short i need to know how many of these things are out there i know of 4 in N-B and at least one in N-S. But some actual numbers would be really cool. Anyway im sure one of you more experienced VW enthusiasts can help me out.

i couldn't really give any numbers, but i occassionally see them out and about, see them for sale every now and then, but iseems when ever you're looking for one, it's not to be found...
Pick ups are very rare.
If you can buy one, go ahead.
Put your bike in the bed, problem solved.
The number produced is somewhat insignificant, it's the remaining number of copies that matters.
I can tell you that the remaining number is very low, they rust easily.

I meet VERY few when I drive mine, but I do know of 7 in Nova Scotia.
I'd get one... did those things come in diesel?
Yes there were diesels available. I know of one for sale for cheap up here, but its too far away from me... about 12 hours north

Mine is a turbodiesel transplant from a Jetta.
Go to
www.vwcadddyforum.com and do a search for production numbers.
You mean they came with a gas engine?
Pete
Most US ones were gas while all Canadian ones were diesel.
