i think the trapspeed is way off, but the et i think may be accurate as i got my 0-60 of 8-9 seconds, 10 at the most, and looking at other cars 0-60 and quarter mile times this seems to be in check

The g-tech tends to do that. The reason is because the trap-speed is actually captured at the end of the 1/4, whereas at the track it's just before the finish line. So it is accurate, just measured differently. That's a really good time. Mine G-teched 0-60 in 19 seconds :(

Did the governer mod yet?

yeah sometimes you have to spin it so that the other pin gets out of the way and you can pull it out, you can see the dent on the front of hill folks pump, i definetly wouldn't apply heat though

not tons of heat... but a little soldering torch should do.   or heck just drive the car... get it warm and that should suffice.  Metal likes it when its all expanded.  cold metal doesn't like to play nice

Can someone please tell how much turns on the starwheel did you made?...

I opened the lda today, turned the pin, and turned the starwheel for 1/2 turn clockwise...I followed the instructions from FAQ section...
But i didn't feel anything...I have adjusted wastegate on my K14, is blows aprox. 12 psi (stock 9 psi), and smoke didn't get noticeably worse...

Is it because i don't have IC, or the starwheel just needs to be turned more?

EDIT: I forgot to ask, do I make adjustments to the starwheel with LDA opened, and watch for the smoke or I have to drive the car each time I turn it?
Excuse me on my bad English

you need to drive it so that you can build up the boost pressure.

and yeah, lda adjustments really don't make that big of a difference of a way the car drives until you get higher boost numbers.  when i first started messing with it i was pretty disappointed, but with the lda adjusted and the power screw turned in it reall makes a difference as you can see

it seems like alot of people are trying to do to their cars wha ti've done to mine since they've seen this thread, and honestly i advise against it since everything i've done is with out an egt.  but i always watch my car and am easy on the pedal to avoid smoke.  you really gotta be careful if you're doing it blind, and like i said i suggest against it.

last night i took the gtech out again, the first time i launched it way too hard and did some tire spinning, and had a 0-60 of 12 seconds haha.  but then i left off and went for a drive to let everything cool down, then i came back and launched again, little too hard good bit of tire spin, but not the show i put on the first time, then i took off, when i shifted in second it didn't have quite as much umph as normal, and at the end of each gear i heard this screaming noise, like a turbo or something, and my tach went up over 5k real quick, then i realized my clutch was slipping like crazy, i was actually suprised my car had enough power to be doing that,  i finished the quarter after i left off and ran an 18 something with a 10 second 0-60, not bad for a slipping clutch and letting off, oh well i guess i learned not to beat on a half assed clutch job...

but i guess i will be taking it very very easy until i can get a better clutch, i think i'm gonna turn everything back down...  kind of a head ache, but i might have a diesel rabbit on the way, so i might just send my jetta to the painter and focus on my rabbit, or just try and let cars behind me for a little while

hehe last night i emptied my car of my tool box and stuff, left everything on it though that would be in for a factor car ie, spare tire and seats, and then had about 2.5 or more gallons of fuel.  and grabbed my gtech and took off to my testing ground.  checked all the roads for coppies. then lined up set the gtech and launched it hard in first gear, and those tires did not wanna hook, then i flew through the rest of the gear blah blah and did a 16.27 not too shabby i believe, for a stock motor with a tad more fueling and a closed wastegate doing 20-25psi.  i need to get an egt lol. i am so dangerous

yeah man... egt gauge is cheap insurance if you've ever seen a diesel motor melt hehehe

what I noticed with my egt gauge when playing with the probe, is that the probe was glowing when it reached 1500F.   I'd hate to imagine what 1600F would do to aluminum   as in... it won't glow...
