Rabbit/golf mk1 aaz engine swap.

ANOTHER question for you people,has anyone done a AAZ engine swap into a rabbit/golf mk1,i need to know if the later type alternator will fit into the engine bay ok,or if i need to fit the old type with the V pulley,and the old V type crank pulley fitted?

i think that you need to do some modifying (perhaps with a BFH) to make the later belt setup work. i'm under the impression that the old V pulley will fit just fine. however i haven't done this myself (yet) so best to get some more opinion.....
