Not my motor and I don't know the seller well. He was a licensed VW mechanic in Poland, immigrated here in 99, set up a hoist in his garage, and did private work. I've bought quite a few older VW pieces from him; he has moved on from VW.
The story is, that a friend imported the motor 8 years ago from the Czech Republic and never finished putting it into his rabbit. Things changed, he had to abandon the project and this guy took the engine - has been sitting on the concrete floor of his garage since.
We haven't moved it but from research, it's a BLT from a 06/07 Polo GT TDI with a 6spd gearbox. The axle turns smoothly, and the turbo feels good...that's as far as I've got.
He is asking $1kCDN.
I suppose these don't come around too often.
