Need help installing accessories/belt
« on: July 26, 2023, 01:08:55 am »
I recently inherited my brother's 86 NA diesel Golf after he passed away, and I'm just trying to get it drivable. The water pump was seized so I replaced it (and the housing and tstat as well), but it came to me with all of the brackets off as well as the alternator and ac compressor in the passenger seat. Can anyone get me some type of belt and/or accessory diagram to reinstall everything?

I would look on U tube and see if you can get any help there.  I am not sure about routing on an A/C car as I do not have one.

Right, the compressor bolts on with allen heads and the power steering has some weird bracketry and pullys.
It would be hard to describe the process.
I hope there is a video you can look at,.. or a bentley manual you can refer to.
