Removal of lower timing belt cover

Hey,
I am having some trouble removing the lower timing belt cover. The problem is that I can't find a way to take off the crankshaft pulley, the only possible way looks like it would put way too much pressure and tension on the belt and all of the other internals. How do i exactly take the crankshaft cover off [lower]? Also, what are the specs for the bolt that holds the timing belt cover on [the one to the rear of the crankshaft pulley]?

If you are talking about the pully that have a V-belt on it that drives the a/c and water pump remove the 4 6mm allen bolts then just hit with a rubber malte it should fall right off.

There's 4 hex bolts on the crank pulley, take them off and if the pulley's stuck, which it may be. Give it a few taps with a hammer to break it loose. Then theres another 3 bolts (one of them hex) holding the cover on. Oh and you have to take off the water pump pulley also.

Both prior responses are correct, I'd just like to add that you should leave the big 17mm bolt in the middle of the crank alone. Just remove the 6mm allen (or 13mm hex) bolts.

Yes... That's very important. DONT remove this bolt, unless you feel like doing a timing belt job too.
