Maintenance Manual?
« on: July 31, 2006, 10:40:07 am »
I have a '91 Jetta TD.  I haven't had any luck finding a Haynes manual.  Is there a recommended book?

My immediate problem is that it won't start when the engine is cold.  It cranks fine, but I've been rolling down my driveway and popping the clutch to start it.  Once I've driven it it's fine, and even when it's been sitting during the day, it usually starts when I use the cold start aid.
I'm guessing the glow plugs need to be replaced.  Any advice?

Thanks,
Brian

You definitly need a bentley manual. Tha haynes is pretty useless but if you do want one canadian tire can order you one if they don't have it in stock.

I'd check the ground on the starter first and clean it up, it's easier then the glow plugs.
