Regarding turning up the fuel on a 1.6l TD. WEll its turned up enough that trying to drop the rpm does not do anything anymore, plus the idle, well i got it to about 1100rpm, but when i rev it past 1500, it'll "stick" at 1500 and wont go lower, the only way to go lower is to kinda lug the engine so that it drops below. any ideas? :?:

If the idle and residual screws are backed all the way out then you've probably exceeded the range of fueling that the 9mm plunger allows. The idle "sticks" because the governor can no longer reduce the fueling enough to drop the engine speed. It may be possible to get a bit more by stiffening up the governor springs so that it doesn't pull back the fueling at high rpm as much. There may also be a bit more to be had from the LDA. Gaining more fueling with the governor and the LDA wll allow you to turn the main quantity screw down a bit and regain proper idle speed control.

so im at the limit eh, well thats good to know then, im gonna turn it back a bit, kinda annoying having it idle at 1500 at a light. People look at you like you drive some whacked up car :lol:

you're not at the limit u just need someone who knows how to adjust it
properly.

i thought he could move the position of the throttle lever on the shaft?
