1.6 eco Injector pump
« on: July 19, 2006, 05:10:04 pm »
I have got a 91 jetta 1.6L turbo with an injector pump that has started leaking from just about everywhere.  It leaks from the cast iron piece  (fuel distributor?) all the throttl shafts and somewhere else I couldn't find.  I am looking at buying a used pump but apparently the pre-1/91 pumps are different than the post 1/91 (mine was built in 4/91).  The pump is part number 068-130-081.  Will other 1.9l pumps fit or do I have any other alternatives.  Are there any specific pumps to look for that provide a little better fueling?

Any help would be appreciated.  I searched a bit but didn't find what I needed.  I'm used to the cummins and completely new to the VW pumps and differences.

Here is what mine looks like but this has a different part #....VW # 068-130-109

Any of the 1.6 or 1.9 IDI pumps will work on your engine regardless of wether it was a NA, ECO, or TURBO designation originally.
