how many flex pipes are on your cars? i have two passats and they both had new exhausts them fron the cat back except one has two flex pipes,
both have them on the down pipe but one has one after the cat and it pulled apart.
i dunno if it is supposed to be there but i think the 22psi, gtd nozzles and the upped fueling was just too much for the part or it coulda been a cheap part?
works damn good with only three feet of exhaust heheheh
Hi there fellow Nova Scotian.
The new downpipe on my 1.6TD has a flex before it goes to the exhaust system. The OEM system had no flex at all. Two would seem to be overkill...I've never seen it on a stock VW.
the 1.9TD OE downpipes (the one's i've seen) have 1 flex built into them. as mentioned, 1 should be fine.
good, im gonna get rid of the cat while im under there, if its anything like my other cars cat it'll be damn near plugged,
i could scrape the black powdered soot out by the hand full and that was without the bigger nozzles
