Not until 2008/2009, but VW'll have common rail diesels by then, which may have nice HP potential. If VW already released Rabbit diesels I'd have bought one instead of my 2006 Jetta.. but both chassis are essentially the same, just different exterior style.

i haven't looked at it closely yet, but i'm told it's smaller than the golf. Is it a polo?

it is a golf... the north american non-GTIs are all badged rabbit apparently. :? it looks to me like its a little smaller than a mkIV and shares similar asian styling as the new jetta.

I checked on the website, same wheelbase and overall dimentions as the GTI.

I wanna Polo too.
