I have an ALH TDI Block that I want to get out of my garage.
Virtually everything has been taken off/out of it so right now it's a bare block.
I will be taking offers, but just to start the haggling I am asking $200 obo.
I am in Havre de Grace, MD (21078) if you want to think about shipping. I can ship it and get you an estimate per your request.

Howzit going Mikey!
By any chance, do you still have that alum. water flange that mounts to the back of the head? I believe you listed it as a "Coolant Junction w/ Coolant Glow Plug Section"(pt.#038-121-133A/028-121-145B).
If so, please give me a jingle. I have a plastic one, but looking for the alum. one for a project I'm working on.
Thanx!

Renny,
I will check on that flange for you. I have to figure out which box it's in!!!!

Sorry Renny, I looked back through my invoices and that sold about a year ago...need anything else? I have a bunch of parts. Let me know what you need and I will see what I have to help.
Mikey
MIkey,
Thanks & bummer! It's always my case, a day late, etc. Anyways, do you recall exactly what year & model that particular water flange came off of- greatly appreciated!

my 98 ahu has that fitting, three glow plugs in it? my engine is from a 1998 jetta tdi 5speed. hope this helps..
Thanks nkb!
Is water flange on your '98 AHU Jetta a two piece alum. job(glow plug section bolted to water flange?) that's bolted to the back of the head?
My ALH/TDI engine came out of a 2001 beetle & is ready to be transplanted into my Suzuki Samurai. However, the stock plastic water flange kinda of protrudes out too far, so I would have to space the engine to much forward to my liking! With the alum. one, I notice the glow plug section can be unbolted & by using a flat plate/cover, it would shorten it up quite a bit & then the engine can sit closer to the fire wall. Plus since I only need the water outlet spicot, the other port can be welded shut.
i thought it was one piece but i can take a look later on(430am its getting late heh) one thing you could do is modify your firewall to clear the fiting? like cut a section out and fab a piece that clears the pipe?
