K24 on 1.8 Gas Engine?
« on: September 09, 2004, 09:47:29 pm »
Hi,

Wondering if anyone has any DIY info on this... also wondering about the max RPMs & boost that folks have been getting
away with. Sorry about the non Diesel post, well at least the turbo is.  :D

My friend (Montreal local dubber)  has a K24 on his 1.8 8v PG engine (a G60 engine, converted to turbo)

Works #1, pushing 15psi without any problem up to 5500. He rarely goes over that (daily driver)

Fuel economy is around 9L/100km (better than a stock 1.8 8v engine)
SNS stage 5 chip (G60 converted to turbo)

Thanks a bunch! It's good to hear first hand info, rather than keep hearing "it's too small". I'm aiming for a relyable 10psi setup using a K24 & Megasquirt fuel managment.
