you could probably remove two of the weights and still have a govenor but it would kick in a lot later, I discussed this with the diesel injection guy here at work

can the governor mod only be done on the 1.6TD or for the 1.9TD as well.
sorry if this question has already been asked, i am new to this forum and modifying diesels.
