yet another head question
« on: June 24, 2006, 02:07:48 am »
OK guys, help me out here- as I finally got back to my head gasket changeout, I am cleaning/degreasing and inspecting my parts and I notice there are small cracks between the valves- I read somehwere else that this is pretty common- what does this mean?  Is my head trashed, what will it affect, if anything?  What, if anything should I do about it? HELP

if you can't be a good example, try being a horrible warning

if you cannot get your thumbnail in it then use the head as is, if you can get your tumbnail in it then i would worry and take it to the machine shop have it welded up and touch up your valves
