Can't get 'er started

In need of help! Yesterday morning I started my car- but it seemed to be stuttering a little (the rpm's were jumping a little- usually happens if the advance is not out all the way). I pushed in the advance (in hopes of pulling it back out again) and the rpm's dropped really low and the car stalled. When I tried to start the car again...it just wouldn't fire back up. It was turning over, but just wouldn't fire. Now it's having trouble even turning over (with a boost from my friend as the battery ran out of juice). When I try to start it, I notice that the timing belt will not move. The belt seems to still be on ok...and I don't suspect that the crank gear has been sheared. Any help is much appreciated. I hate taking the TTC!

The crank pulley key has sheared, very common problem with the 1.9TD. Do a search on "AAZ crank pulley" or "1.9TD crank pulley". You'll find lots of info.

Good chance you might have some bent valves too.

I would put the probability of bent valves at a solid 100% if the cam isn't turning at all...

Where should I look for replacement parts? And what will I need to replace? Just bought the car 2 months back...and although I was aware of this common problem, thought I'd have a bit more time than this. Thanks for your thoughts! Always appreciated

Without a location in your profile I can't really suggest where to shop for parts, you could be anywhere...
You'll need a crankshaft (or get yours repaired) a crankshaft timing pulley, some valves/lifters, gaskets crank seals, head bolts, rod and main bolts and lower end bearings.
