Look to the numbers on the pump, 0 460 494 ...
The 9 stands for the diameter of the plunger.
problebly its a 8 or 9mm, worthless...
if its a 0, 1, ore 2 you can get it.

Huh, I'm getting ready to sell my Tempo/Topaz. Gas though, if it was diesel I might keep it. ;)

Here's a little bit of info:

Does this Tempo work?  If it's not dead, I betcha you could sell it reallll easy.  Don't start pulling off parts that you can't replace.  Even the motor alone would probably sell on any of the Mazda forums.

Really rare!

Funny thing was is they made AWD Tempos. Funny because it was a laughable AWD system I wouldnt want on a Matchbox car.

They made AWD tempos   AS ghey as fords are, and the tempo being the pinacle of their crap pile... A diesel AWD tempo would make for a wicked field car

Yea but diesel ones are rare as as the AWD ones...but I suppose a AWD diesel Tempo would be as rare as a stock AWD diesel A2 Jetta

Not in the US...you Northerners might find them but I doubt it.

In the US they made the last year of the diesel was 1986 and the 1st year of AWD was 1987 till 1991.

I guess one could try to see if diesel would mate to a AWD trans.

Don't think so. I had a couple of these things, Still have and engine/trans in fact. They had more in common with the mazda 626 than the tempo. Far as I know the diesel trans was also a mazda unit, not the same pattern as the ford.

I was just thinking it would be sweet to pick up for a few hundred bucks and beat the *** out of it in a ghetto rally   No way in hell I am gonna invest time into a custom swap on a ford tempo.
