well i increased my fueling a bit more today to the point where i pretty much can't use my advance timing choke. My idle sits at around 1150-1250 when warm, and thats with it adjusted to be as low as possible. Now im just worried cause it takes my car a bit to start up without the choke, and i dont want that. Any ideas how i can get it to be functional again?
did you ever fix that? Mine idles just like yours, I turned my fuel down, what wonders that did, now she spins tires like nothing
i bought a Giles pump, solved every fueling issue possible
what did the pump cost ya
You can bring it down further by relocating the throttle lever on the splined shaft.Mark your spot and rotate clockwise.
on a mk3 ( not sure about mk2 ) you can adjust the throttle cable via plastic adjustment thingy on the pump. this allows for more negative travel in cable so you can set the residual fuel pin ( the bolt behind pump that the throttle lever rests on ) to a lower setting.
this solved my high idle and the advance lever still worked perfect.
