I've searched, read the FAQ's, and followed quite a few posts. but haven't found many things in common, or many descriptions...

What injection pumps are you running on your mechanical TDI conversions?

I've seen a cummins, 1.9TD, 1.6TD, hybrid this and that, but no real "this is what it is and what it is from" listings...

I'm wanting to do a M-TDI, and I'm trying to source a pump. I would like to know what works.

I would like the:
Bosch part number
Manufacturer part number (if known)
application (what it originally came from)
Hybrid- what part of what onto what to make it work.

Thank you.

Perhaps this should be a FAQ topic???

There are various ways to get this done but probably one of the simplest would be to use a 1.9TD (AAZ) pump as a base as the input shaft and offset should be correct (as far as I know). Install the TDI camplate and pump head (manuals were 10mm, automatics were 11mm) onto the AAZ pump, slap a 1.6TD LDA pin and lid on top and modify the governor to meet your needs.

Hy, A question for fine tuning about a mechanical pump for the TDI, the advance timing, Which spring and timing piston are best to have a linear curve of timing?
