7" Round LED Headlights

I just thought I'd mention that I added these headlights to an '85 Vanagon of mine:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B376YOE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They are absolutely fantastic. The lumen rating is over 3X the stock halogens yet are lower wattage so no relays are required. The install was totally plug and play. 10 minutes total. I then adjusted them per this procedure:
https://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/aim/aim.html
Adjustment took ~1/2 hour all told.
The lighting is astounding. Clear bright low beams with accurate cutoff to avoid blinding other drivers. High beams are excellent. These made that van go from the worst lighting on any vehicle I've owned to easily the best. Considerably better lighting than my Mk4's. Fantastic upgrade for <$100.
I believe they would also be plug and play for the Mk1 round headlights.

I bought a set of the rectangular ones for my pick up, based on your recommendation.

Slight blue tint, but you get used to it. Not crazy about the Batman styles DRLs on the sides; I didn’t hook up the DRLs, but they come on with the lights. The light output and cut off is nice.
I’ve been meaning to wire up some relays to bypass the old wiring.

Wish I would have thought to look for these a year ago when both lights needed to be replaced.
Running off individual relays helps with both brightness and wear and tear on the switch. I did that to my Rabbit and it made a noticeable difference.

I got a set of the 7" rounds for my '79 rabbit. They look great and the visibility is incredible compared to the stock bulbs. Installation was totally plug and play (10 minutes).
