horn when jumpstart
« on: April 14, 2006, 09:00:09 pm »
Hi there,

I was trying to jumpstart my Golf 93 TD with my father's Saturn.  So I put the clips on the cars, when I put the last one on my Golf, the horn of the Saturn turns on, and it screams for as long as the clips are connected.  no need to say I disconnect it after 2 seconds.

Why is that?  Usually it's my Golf that should make a short "bip".

But now it's the booster car that honks, and for as long as it's connected to my golf.

Thanks!

p.s. : i changed the starter solenoid last week, that's why i had to jump start the car, the battery was very low, not enough to start the engine.
