AAZ crank bearings quick question
« on: May 17, 2017, 09:50:15 am »
I just noticed that the bearing kit I received comes with 4 flat bearings and 6 bearings with an oil channel, is this intended and if so which bearing cap gets a channelled bearing on top and bottom? Also, does anyone have a picture of the proper orientation of the thrust washers under #3, dont want to mess that up either. Thanks guys

From a parts supply house:
"WARNING! Volkswagen OE design modification. Set contains (1) lower bearing shell which is grooved and WITHOUT OIL HOLE. Install in # 4 CAP position only!"
The mask and the shot(s) are actually an IQ test. If you are wearing or circulating, you just failed the test. I can't feel sorry for you.

Oil supply splits directly above.
