Moved to general section, because not power enhancement related

depends on if the 1.6 is a mechanical lifter head or hydrallic, Someone on the board I believe has swapped the 1.5 internals into a 1.6, the pistons are the same bore, I wish i had the link for that one

the 1.5 head uses 11mm head bolts and the early 1.6's used the 11mm head bolts, later 1.6's used 12mm head bolts.

if the 1.6 is a 12mm head bolt block with a mechanical lifter head then you can use the 1.5 or early 1.6 head by simply drilling out the head bolt holes (I did it and it has worked fine) the only thing that you will run into is the washers on the stretch bolts (12mm head bolts) will not fit into the space reserved for teh washers so you will have to cut them off and put the smaller OD washers on them

if you have a 12mm head bolt head and want to put it on the 11mm head bolt engine then simply take a pop can (traditional or Barley) and cut it up so that you can wrap the aluminum around the outer 4 headbolts once to take up the slack and correctly position the head on the block

I think that everything else bolts up and can be interchanged, i think that cams, rings and all the other stuff is good to go

good luck
