WTB: Non-AC Alternator Bracket/Alt Pulley
« on: December 26, 2016, 07:06:53 pm »
Hey all,

Doing an AC delete, '86 MK2 1.6NA one of the ears on my compressor broke off. Looking for the bracket mostly but if you have the alternator/pulley as well and want to bundle I'll take that as well.

Thanks all!

Mike

In the meantime, maybe you already know:

There are 4 ears equally spaced around the compressor.  I think you use 2 of the ears to install it.  If 1 ear breaks, unbolt the compressor, rotate it 1/4 turn and reinstall using a fresh ear and the broken one is in a position that is not used.

MK2 uses the same bracket, crank pully and alternator for the non-AC conversion.
Oh yeah, and it uses the same AC belt to run the alternator, ha.
Just needs a new pully and some alt brackets from a gasser.
I think the AC delete post is in the FAQs.
