Crank Case Control Valve
« on: August 20, 2004, 03:51:32 am »
On my 91 Jetta is there a way to check the crank case control valve on top of the valve cover?  It seems to be letting a little more than I would like of oil to be sucked out of the valve area and into the intake.  Now remember, I'm the one with 0 oil pressure at operating temp when taken at the head sending port. I can tell you that the head is getting plenty of oil.  I also have the splash shield under the valve cover.  I just noticed when my boost line came off my intake right before it went into the head that it was spitting out some oil.  The Bentley really doesn't say much.  Do these valves go bad?

Thanks
