What cars had the k24 turbo?

Doing some research, and i think i am going to need a bit bigger turbo....what did the k24 turbos come out of?

Non-intercooled 1.6lTDs (engine codes: CY and MF) came with the larger turbos (KKK K24 and Garrett TA03).

All I can say about the JR engine code is that it was never sold in North America, and that I've never seen one.
If it was a european-only 1.6lTD, I wonder how it differed from engine code CY/MF?

ok thanks, i found one at a local junk yard, but i dont want it....i'll go back if theres a market for them and i'll sell it.....how much are they worth....it had a bit of play but not much

my buddy,who is into the 20v 5 cyl audi's, after i let him try the wheelspining bunny ,,said i should put a k24on my tdi-m. the one he showed me looked way bigger than the garret im running from an a6 jetta td,,l think it was from an audi,,he said 400hp is about the limit on their 5 cyls from this turbo,,and he said he finds them all day for 100-200S used all day,,,,,i may have to get more info from him. anyone know what im looking for????im not sure,,, :cry:

l think it was from an audi,,he said 400hp is about the limit on their 5 cyls from this turbo,,and he said he finds them all day for 100-200S used all day,,,,,i may have to get more info from him. anyone know what im looking for????im not sure,,, :cry:
The turbo on those 20v Audis are likely k26's. I just pulled a k26 off a 10v audi.

The turbo on those 20v Audis are likely k26's. I just pulled a k26 off a 10v audi.
No, those 10 & 20V Audis had K26s, but also K24s. Not like the little diesel K24s on our 1.6 stuff, though. I have one that is going on a 2.0 Gas BMW, and it is about perfect for that (on the compressor map, whatever that is worth). The K24 on the Audis was an attempt to get rid of some of the laggy response of the K26 without losing much, if any, top end performance. I should dig it out and take some pics.

wonder if what my buddy said,if it would be a good turbo for the tdi or not, he may have one for like 100-200$ forme,and we can make a customexh.manifold,,,,,,im not gettin worried about lag too much,but it matters,,i want raw power, im gettin nutty with this thing

for draggin the garrett was better than the kkk,at least .02 sec,and 2mph,or more,,im not happy w/ the kkk,see my post in upgrades,,,, :cry:
