86 Jetta Engine Mount Question
« on: March 29, 2016, 08:49:28 am »
When I take off from a start and then let off the accelerator to shift, I can feel the engine drop back into place. Assuming the engine is rocking back, the front mount in my car is gone.

Are these hydraulic mounts?

I guess the Jetta's did come with the hydro's. Yes, eventually, the sacks burst.
Prices range from around $20 to $30-something.

I have converted some of my rigs back to the front solids which I think came on many of the Golfs. Rock Auto still has a solid one offered for more money. BUT, the catch is you have to have the hardware to mount it.

You may also have fatigued the rears as well.
The mask and the shot(s) are actually an IQ test. If you are wearing or circulating, you just failed the test. I can't feel sorry for you.
